SUNDAY SCHOOL
10:10 a.m. – 10:55 a.m.
We will wrap up our study of Paul and the theme of transformation on Sunday, September 5. Due to air conditioning issues on the second floor, we will meet in room 108 just for this Sunday. If there is a larger group, we will move to the social hall. Join us for great music and watch a clip from the movie "Ice Age."

Building Skills for Christian Living
BEING A FRIEND
Children and parents are invited to an open house during the Sunday school hour on September 12. There will be special “fruit” snacks, an opportunity to fill out new registration forms, meet the teachers, and time to get to know one another.
Third Graders to Receive Bibles
On Sunday, September 12, children in third grade will be given their very own Bibles in the Water’s Edge service at 9:00 am and in the traditional service at 11:00 am. If your child will not be here to receive a Bible that day, please contact Ellen Clements, 464-2423 or eclements@baylakeumc.org to arrange another time.
Children’s Time at the Altar, at the 11:00 worship service, will return on September 12, Promotion Sunday. All children are invited to come to the altar for the children's message. Come on down!
Sunday Night Service Ops for Kids Growing in Grace, K-5th graders, begins on Sunday, September 19. Orientation for children and their parents begins at 5:00 pm. Come and find out about the wonderful opportunities for socializing, singing and service this fall. Dinner is included. Please bring your calendars to coordinate how you can participate with your children in helping with a craft, making dinner one evening, or helping on a field trip. KID’S DAY OUT and BCAM

There are still a few openings for this fall in our Kid's Day Out program. The children range in age from 1 to 3 years.
KDO Sessions are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and include a variety of fun and exciting activities that incorporate the WONDER-FILLED WEEKDAYS FOR FALL book.
BCAM (Baylake Children's After school Ministry) still has some openings for September. BCAM hours are from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. Call the church, 464-2423 for more information.

During the Sunday morning worship hours, a well-staffed, modern nursery is available for infants and toddlers. The nursery is also staffed during choir rehearsals, monthly UMW Prayer Breakfasts and other special events throughout the year.
![]() Vacation Bible School
VBS at Baylake is held 9:00 am to Noon, Monday thru Friday, the first week of summer vacation (according to the public school schedule). Designed to provide community outreach, as well as enrichment for members of the Baylake congregation, this program is staffed by adult and teenage volunteers. It is free of charge for all participants.
Summer Day Camp
![]() Partners in Progress
Every Wednesday, between November and May, Baylake participates in the “Partners in Progress” after-school tutoring program for students from Thoroughgood Elementary School. This program is designed to supplement classroom instruction and encourage children in their academic endeavors. It is free of charge and staffed by members of the church. Transportation is available, and snacks and supervised recreation are also provided.
In order to fully staff our children's programs, parents and church members are asked to volunteer periodically. As a volunteer you only need to love the children and assist the teachers, please sign up in the rooms with teachers.
