- How to Join

By Confession of Faith & Baptism
If you are not a baptized Christian, you are invited to accept the claims of Christ on your life and profess Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior.  Our pastors would be happy to discuss the meaning of salvation and baptism with you.  Select the “Contact Us” link to the left, and the pastor will telephone you.

By Transfer from another UM Church
Select the “Contact Us” link to the left, and reference your former church in the “Comments” field, together with that’s church’s address.  We will be glad to write your former church to request your transfer of membership.  Please indicate all family members transferring with you. List any children under 18 and include their birthdays.

By Transfer from another Denomination
The process is very much like the one above – since you are already baptized and confirmed.  You will be asked to take the vow, made by all persons who join our congregation – to support and uphold the United Methodist Church “with your prayers, your presence, your gifts and your service.”

How to “join” without “joining" – Affiliate
If you are a United Methodist whose membership is elsewhere and you wish to keep your membership there, you can become an “Affiliate” member of Baylake Church while you worship with us.  We will write your “home” church and inform them of your status at Baylake. Select the “Contact Us” link to the left, and the pastor will telephone you.
