Container Celebration - All the needed items for the Terekeka orphanage container project have been collected and are on their way to the Sudan. THANK YOU to all who have helped to make this project a success.
Terekeka Orphanage - Southern SudanOrphans are being turned away to fend for themselves because of a shortage of needed supplies.
James 1:27 Pure and lasting religion in the sight of God our Father means that we must care for orphans and widows in their troubles, and refuse to let the world corrupt us.
The Norfolk District of the Virginia Conference of the United Methodist Church has adopted two primary missions for 2010.
These are 'container' projects bringing much needed supplies, food and hope to Appalachia and Terekeka Children's Orphanage in Southern Sudan.
The Norfolk District UMC and Baylake UMC spearheaded the container mission project for the Terekeka Orphanage in Southern Sudan.
The need is still great.
Luke 3:11 "If you have two coats," he replied, "give one to the poor. If you have extra food, give it away to those who are hungry."
