Baylake Student Ministry

Student Ministry…seeks to glorify God by creating community in the youth of Baylake UMC & Hampton Roads through the pursuit of God, and in service to all.

Our student ministries are designed to reach and nurture followers of Jesus Christ in grades 6-12. Students learn from God’s Word and discover how the greatest events of the Old and New Testament connect with everyday life. It prepares students to tell of God’s redeeming love to a world of broken people. Students are engaged through a variety of approaches from highly relational, interactive experiences of discipleship and outreach projects. We work to balance fellowship, education and outreach!

  Confirmation Classes
(February 19th – May 28, 2023)

Confirmation is an integral part of the Christian Formation for our youth 8th grade or older. The confirmation program is an opportunity for young disciples to embrace Christian Faith as their own and to accept the responsibility of Christian Discipleship. The curriculum is linked to what we believe with focus on God’s prevenient grace, the sacraments of baptism and communion, and the church. Parents have a key role in this Christian nurturing process with the support of the broader faith community.

Confirmation classes are conducted annually for students within the targeted age group. Classes and events occur from February to April with confirmation during a worship service in May.

Pastor Clark Cundiff leads the Confirmation activities and can be reached at ccundiff@baylakeumc.org
